ISLAND PAINTBALL ARENA & STORE TO RESTRUCTURE THIS SUMMER
Arena closes, Retail Store relocates and Mobile Games Division expands

West Babylon, New York (June 18, 2014) -- Island Paintball Arena and Store (Island) announced today three major changes to occur by the summer's end-- their retail store plans to relocate back to its hometown of Huntington, their indoor field in West Babylon will close its doors and their Mobile Laser Tag & Paintball Games division will expand.

“We would like to thank our many, loyal customers by going out with a bang and having one last great summer at the Arena,” says Anthony Pennino, Co-Owner and Manager of Island.  “We will be hosting special games and events every week as well as our last 2 weeks of Paintball Camp this July 7-11 and July 14-18. We hope to see everyone there to enjoy our field a few more times before we close our doors.”

The building owner informed Island last month that his company would be taking the building back for its own use this fall.  Island owners Anthony and John Pennino decided against relocating their arena and will instead be expanding the Mobile Games division of their company and relocating only the retail store.

Founded in Huntington in 1988, Island Paintball Supplies, Inc. is one of the oldest retail paintball stores in the country and has one of the best reputations for honesty and value.  With a staff of fully certified airsmiths on hand, customers ship damaged equipment in from all over the country for servicing and repair.  Island is also known for its lifetime labor warranty that accompanies every paintball marker they sell.  The exact location will be announced shortly, once negotiations have been finalized.

Island has also been slowly expanding its Mobile Games division over the years, in both paintball and laser tag, and regards the closing of the field as an opportunity to focus on this niche but growing facet of the industry.  They plan to offer a wide range of services from complete rental packages that may be picked up in Huntington, a target paintball shooting range housed in an enclosed trailer or a fully staffed scenario game brought to your site.

"We ran 10 straight years of scenario games on our property in Thompson, PA before opening the indoor field and have since then introduced thousands of new people to paintball each year at select corporate events like the annual Bloomberg company picnic," notes Co-Owner John Pennino.  “Have a group of people and a location?  We will now have the equipment, staff and time available to design your perfect game."

As exciting as these changes may be, Island recognizes that after 12 years of indoor paintball, closing the Arena is the end of an era.  Stay tuned to islandpaintball.net this summer for weekly discounts on “Open Play”, as well as clearance sales on retail items.
