IPC is named after an institution that helped start organized paintball on Long Island.  Back in 1986 the Pennino and Opatovsky families began organized paintball games (then called "the Survival Game") in the woods of West Hills, Huntington, Long Island.  Island Paintball Club, associated with Island Paintball Supplies,  provided a supervised, safety-oriented venue for players, promoted paintball in our area, and contributed to the growth of the sport here on the Island.  Club games were moved to Middle Island from late 1990 to 1996, where they became bigger and better than ever.  Island Paintball Club also hosted overnight scenario events at "Paintball Camp" in Thompson, PA every year from 1987 to 2000.  We though it was fitting to restore the Club as a way of meeting the committed player's needs in the new century.
